The 9th grade Conway Blue Volleyball team took home first place in the Gold Division of the 2018 Russellville Junior High Tournament Saturday.

The team started the morning with pool play defeating Vilonia in two sets, splitting sets with Lake Hamilton, and then winning in two against Darby. The team finished pool play with a first place seeding heading into bracket play in the Gold Division.

With brackets set for afternoon play, the team started off competition against Conway White. After two sets Conway Blue was able to pull out the win and head to the semi-finals against tournament host Russellville. Conway Blue started slow losing the first set, but the team battled back and were able to defeat the Cyclones 2-1. In the finals Conway matched up with Lake Hamilton for the third time in as many days. It was a hard fought back and forth match, but after two sets the Lady Cats were named tournament champs.
