The Lady Cats played a nonconference game against Marion in the CHS gym at Conway on Saturday.

For much of the game, the Lady Cats and Patriots stayed close to each other, but the second half gave Conway the win.

A strong third quarter changed the game for the Lady Cats as they led by 11 after the third quarter.

It continued that trend in the fourth quarter, eventually putting the game out of reach.

Senior guards Asiyah Smith and Readan Roetzel both led all scorers with 17 points, while freshman guard Jaiden Thomas scored 13 for Conway.

Marion junior guard Joi Montgomery scored 14 points.

The Lady Cats will have a bit of a break before they get back to 6A Central conference play against North Little Rock on Jan. 8 at Buzz Bolding Arena.
