Cardinals head football Coach Jake Monden said that they were able to raise the four-grand with the help of sponsors Jim Golden Ford and Rich Robertson.
Camden Fairview’s Cardinal 7-on-7 football tournament was held at Camden Fairview Cardinals Stadium and at the next door practice field.
Camden Fairview’s Cardinal 7-on-7 football tournament overall winner was El Dorado
Camden Fairview’s Cardinal 7-on-7 showcased 16 teams. El Dorado finished first, Smackover, second and Camden Fairview finished knotted up in a tie for third place with Ouachita Christian School.
The Cardinals record was 6-1 in the tournament.
According to Coach Monden, Camden Fairviews’s Sr Adaylin Martin (receiver), Jr Oren McCoy (safety) ,Jr Keith Johnson (quarterback) and So Troy Butler (receiver) all had impressive performances.
The Camden Fairview 7-on-7 also featured the lineman challenge which lured fifty five lineman to participate. El Dorado’s Donavan Walter was the winner of the competition.
The funds raised will benefit the Camden Fairview athletic booster club. Booster club’s are important for all high school athletic departments. They help programs purchase products and services that are above and beyond what school’s are able to budget for athletic programs.

Fox Sports Radio 92.7 FM’s owner has donated $500 per year the past two years to the Camden Fairview athletic booster club and are planning on doing at least $500 to the club this year. They challenge all other local business to give to the cause as well.
